Saving Hearts


The heart is one of the most important organs in your body along with your brain. The heart beats at an average rate of 60-90 beats per minute when you are resting. The blood pumped by your heart sustains your life, but when the heart is clogged or ceases to pump, your life is in jeopardy. That is where heart surgeons come in to save lives.

For a heart surgeon, keeping a patient's heart healthy is just more than a job. It is also service to the general community. Saving hearts means giving someone life, which they might have lost. Heart diseases and problems are prevalent all over the world and fixing the problematic heart is me serving those in need.

Heart surgeries, which were once considered dangerous with high mortality rates, now has a drastically higher survival rate, even for the aged. With the improvement in technology, lives that would have been lost can be saved. Polls have shown that those who had heart surgeries had improved living conditions and some outlived their generation.

Heart surgery has drastically improved the lives of many people and the lives of mankind in general. The skill of being able to fix the life-giving heart is surely a great gift. However, using my skill to save others' lives is a greater gift.
